What each result means

Every address gets a clear verdict — no vague scores.

Valid

The mailbox exists and the mail server is accepting delivery. Safe to send.

Invalid

The address does not exist or the server explicitly rejected it. Remove it.

Unverifiable

The server uses catch-all routing or timed out — no definitive answer. Suppress for cold outreach.

Disposable

A temporary / throwaway address. Will never engage. Remove immediately.

Role address

Is this tool really free?

Does verifying send an email to the address?

No. Verification works at the SMTP protocol level — we simulate the start of a delivery conversation with the mail server without ever transmitting a message. The recipient never sees anything.

Why is a result 'Unverifiable'?

Some mail servers use catch-all configuration — they accept every incoming address regardless of whether the mailbox exists. Others time out or block verification requests. In these cases we can't get a definitive answer.

How accurate is the result?

Very high for definitive Valid/Invalid results — we perform live SMTP verification against the actual mail server. Catch-all domains are the main source of uncertainty, which is why we label them 'Unverifiable' rather than guessing.
